In this Training Tuesday, we learned about various rebar splicing methods and Dayton Superior’s dowel bar product line that began with an explanation of the types of rebar splicing techniques, such as weld, lap & mechanical splicing. Moving on, definitions, challenges and benefits of each type of technique were identified.
Industry standards and meanings are important to know, and our training reviews the terminology such as types 1 & 2, load, tensile and yield strengths for splicing before moving on to the DB/DI Dowel Bars and Dowel-In product lines to demonstrate examples, uses and features.
Additionally, the latest Build America, Buy America (BABA) government standards & regulations for splicing were reviewed briefly.
