The customer was faced with producing highquality threaded ends, particularly the larger #14 and #18 rebar on a tight timeline to meet delivery demands.

With the Taper-Lock 2G Machine, all the moving parts are encased in the machine providing additional safety for machine operators while maintaining a high speed cut/thread rate.

“When looking at this project and the large volume of #14 and #18 rebar that needed to be threaded, we felt that the Taper-Lock 2G Machine would help Ambassador deliver,” explained Todd Brigham, Shop Superintendent with Ambassador Steel. “We chose Taper-Lock because we would be able to produce more while offering cleaner bars after threading. In addition, the machine offered increased operator safety over the competition and required less maintenance than other machines. Added benefits were the ease of maintenance, faster change out to chasers and the machines cutting fluid is cleaner and safer for the environment.”
