Description:
Metal and plastic caps allow movement of dowels in expansion joints. Flanges on the welded type must be notched back when installing caps on dowels in baskets.
Use:
Crimp type metal dowel caps are fabricated in 5/8" - 1-1/4" diameters and 5" lenght. Welded type are fabricated in 3/8" - 2" diameters and 5" or 6" lengths. Plastic dowel caps are fabricated in 1/2" - 1-7/8" diameters and 4" length.
